Randarda wetland

       

Randarda is a one of the good wetlands, near by rajkot.

it comprises local, local migratory and migratory birds. It has good forest nursery and proposed zoo of rajkot. In winter pelicans, flamingos, wigeon, pintail, common teal, black tailed, godwit are regular visitors of it. Swamp moorhen, common moorhen, purple heron, cormorants, coot etc. . are found permanent in this lake. 

Wildlife of Gujarat

Gujarat is the only location which is famous as the last home of Asiatic lion, The Gir is national park where Asiatic lions fills full freedom. Besides the lion the Gir is also one of the best bird sanctuaries. The biodiversity of Gir is rich of insects, reptiles & full of angiospermic vegetation. Anybody can visit this sanctuary as a wildlife lover or as a tracker. But during monsoon from 15th of June to 15th of October sanctuary remain close.
